Some of the main sources of distractions come from cell phones, email, and social media. We need to take ourselves offline to find the focus we want, until we have accomplished with what we need to do.
I agree with what Leon Ho from Lifehack is presenting on his article and here are what he said:
== At the end of the day, it comes down to some simple principles:
If you can’t focus, you can’t get things done
If you can’t get things done, you’ll have no input towards your goals
If you have no input towards your goals, you’ll have no output! No results.
Another perspective on it:
The longer you take to get things done, the slower your progress
The slower your progress, the less momentum you’ll have
The slower your progress, the more opportunities for obstacles to come along
This generally leads down to the same familiar path: loss of motivation, lethargy, wanting to give up.
Focus is a basic building block towards any success.==

I lack focus and I’m undisciplined. I don’t always hear people very well. I get distracted in my thoughts often. Somme times i am too busy chatting on line, and listening to music to get my chores done, but they eventually do get done.
Focus and just start
Job doesn’t have to be perfect
Get to it
Seize the day, always another
Agree, job doesn’t have to be perfect, just get it done and right..:))

what we have here is a success in communication….
I think I watched that movie .
Stay focus or you’ll get flogged. LOL
it’s not motivational, but it gets the job done….xD
It’s all that matters, get the job done and get it done right. =D
One person’s distraction is another’s entertainment or joy.
That’s very true, just like Disqus, it’s fun and joy distraction for us…:)
that’s easy….. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/5ac7c45969ddd0d5f46f923ea54b13cfbda908a1937700c409ddbf2a74b20871.jpg
How to focus in a distracted world
1. Block out time for uninterrupted work
2. Email batching
3. Turn technology from a distraction into a useful tool
4. Schedule a distraction time
5. Anticipate your internal needs
6. Practice mindfulness
7. Exercise regularly
8. Create a willpower workout
I find it necessary to understand and define personal PRIORITIES, without which we cannot establish a hierarchical scale of importance and urgency of events.
For this, it is necessary to keep in mind JUDGMENT and VALUES that allow assessing needs and possibilities and listing pertinent themes, defined by a healthy ETHICS.
Without this ORGANIZATION, any task or event can take our time; or generate a lot of useless occupation; and even, no occupation.
In the most difficult days, when we feel unable or lacking the energy to handle something more complex, to do SMALL tasks, simple things, can cause satisfaction in completing something, and good feeling that helps you RELAX and recover.
Hi Carlos,
Long time no see.
I’d like to wish you a Very Happy and Prosperous New year.
That’s true about making priorities so we don’t waste time doing the less important things that can actually wait.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks, Murn!
I wish to you a New Year Blessed!
Thank you, my friend and you too.
Thank you, my friend and you too.

You are most welcome..:))
Just as a comparison, imagine doing thirty minutes on a walker, and then thirty minutes on Disqus. If you’re anything like me, you spend your time on the walker staring at your watch wanting that thirty minutes to end; it drags by. And if you’re anything like me, at the end of a thoroughly engrossing thirty minutes on Disqus, you’ll be wondering where the time went wanting to spend more.
My point, of course, is that we only have to force ourselves to focus on the things we don’t want to do. The ultimate freedom is wanting to do what we have to do, which is also the best way to focus. Of course, we can’t always convince ourselves that we want to do what we have to do, but it seems to me that it is an effort worth making.
Disqus has been the best distraction on our way to find our focus.
We often need to have fun first before focusing on things we need to do.
So maybe do the 30 minutes on Disqus first before the 30 minutes on a treadmill. :))
Or you could ride a stationary bike while surfing online. Kill 2 birds with one stone…
Yess, it’s great to be able to complete two things done at once.
I find booze helps or was it weed uh oh what were we talking about?
Good if that works for you, to end distraction with booze to find your focus..:))
Having a glass of wine, have it slowly and relax would help me find my focus sometimes.
morning Murn I was just being a bad comic when I wrote that lol hope ya have a good day
I thought so it wasn’t you. LOL
Good morning.
You too, have a wonderful Tuesday out there.
How is the New Year so far? 🙂
so far the same as last year lol hope yours is going great and remember just keep smiling even in bad times
Mine too is still the same as last year except the new year started with some wedding parties.
I do agree for smiling even in bad times.
You are such a positive and happy motivators.
Squirrel!
I can’t ignore my Ring camera notifications. For God’s sake, if a deer walks across the driveway at 1:20pm, I need to be on top of it.
I’ve had success lately with making my wife add all my “to do” tasks to a running list.
Even adding bullet points to select big items or check marks next to multy step tasks.
Seeing the progress seems to help keep me on task…
Wondering what are on that list, sounds so many…=D
You seem to do well…keep it up.
I’ll come back soon.

Hi Roach,
FYI
@DCBeckendorff:disqus
Nice discussion. I like meditating with headspace when I want to do some work or writing. Especially with writing, I need a clear head; taking a few minutes to check in with the body can help remove distractions and let me be as creative as I can. 😊
I did that too, always start my yoga with 5 minutes meditating and it does help to calm my mind and find my focus. How is the book going? Still to be published this coming March?
Working on the first sequel currently; I’m 50k words in which is about a third. People are urging me to get the first one published before long, but I don’t have any immediate plans for that. I’m biding my time, making sure it’s consistent with where I’m going with the series, and I’ll edit it a few more times too.
50K words are so much. Every word sounds to be meaningful in your writing. Save your words from here for your books then, although we all miss your great post.
I raced through the first ~30k words, but my pace has since slowed. It’s still going well though, I’m happy with what I’m getting down. Thanks, I would love to visit here and post more often. Think I’ll still try to at some point soon. Good to hear from you, as always. 😅
Sorry , I was testing my application. lol
I see, that’s why the title looks like a joke…:))
I have three , disqus chat, anime kingdom and purple entertainments.
Wow…. you are very creative Purp.
I don’t chat much except on my thread but I think I will like your Purple Entertainment. Tag me when you have new topics there and please make me trusted user. My upvotes have all gone, it doesn’t bother me but I may turn to low rep soon.
1 Please visit my channel : https://purpleentertainments.tumblr.com
2 Include this hashtag in your comment: #POST_MY_THREAD
3 If you like you can write any topic and add any photo .
4 Then delete your comment
WIll you ?
Hi Purp,
I would want to follow your blog but I was asked to login with email and password. is that safe?
Its not safe to use email and password…
If you get tumblr accept page then please accept it. Thank You.
Oh Okay.
Sorry, Purp. I don’t get used to it but I’ll go there again and accept.
I successfully posted comment there but still didn’t find a way how to follow your blog.
Only the hashtag comments which are deleted will be approved as Threads .
Let me delete it.
Thanks for doing that, Purp.
And the ‘following’ button still doesn’t work…:))
Hi Murn, did you choose the first thread and click on the Follow button ?
Please check . I created that follow button. 😀
Okay, trying again…:))
You are handy, Purp, making those ‘following’ options.
I have followed and will join the talk when you have new posted topic.
It’s my time to be off now and will come back tomorrow.
Later…:))
How many sites are you making, Purp?
Focus is focus. There is some multi-tasking in the execution of a goal, but it comes down to silencing literal and figurative noise. I do this whether I’m investing, working, or with my kids…especially putting aside social media and smart devices.
On a personal level, when I interact with people, I maintain eye contact and listen. I focus on the person. Their thoughts, emotions, and desires. As always…I think listening is a major part of focus socially.
Multitasking is just one among many that makes focus difficult.
I rarely can effectively multitask. Do two or max three things at the same time sometime work but more than three, it wouldn’t be easy.
