Your values signal what is important to you
These are the 10 Most Important Human Values.
By Fearless Soul.
Speaker: Josiah Ruff
1. Health and Energy.
2. Love.
3. Gratitude and Appreciation.
4. Kindness and Compassion.
5. Integrity.
6. Giving.
7. Growth.
8. Peace.
9. Family, Friendship and Connection.
10. Happiness
Those are their opinions.
What are your opinions, what are the most important human values to you?
Learned this in the Boy Scouts
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
I agree with those but in my experience nos 3&4 need to be emphasised to boys. Certainly to twin brothers!
Those are wonderful values.
Keep it up.
Respect and Friendship
Agreed.
Friendship won’t last without respect and understanding.
Work ethic and kindness to children and animals.
Those two are great. I put them on my list too.
i would add two more that I haven’t seen anyone posted them here:
‘Nonviolence and right action’.
Loyalty
Kindness
Intelligence
Honesty
Freedom
Creativity
Determination
Those are all great.
Intelligence-Brain-IQ, to be one of the most important values to us.
Although I’m not into the whole God squad thing, I also am a solid believer in truth, justice, and a very strong sense of right versus wrong.
I am with you in those three values.
Someone who has strong sense of right vs wrong is certainly a good person.
Trust.
I agree
Interesting that Health is #1 I would have thought Love would be. Love is the key to health anyway I believe.
Hey there Mariam,
Thank you for coming in.
I think without physical health someone is not capable of loving in deepest level.
I agree for putting health on top of love..:)
Thanks Murn!
Consider that without love, health deteriorates. I believe hate, bitterness, anger, jealousy and angst creates many health issues. Love of self and the world in general is healing.
That’s true about love.
We are free to express our opinions and I respect yours….:)

Very lovely- thank you. I respect yours as well. Through civil discussions we can modify our opinions based on info not thought of previously. We are a result of our own experience and reading of others experiences gives us a clearer vision of reality. Thank you for providing this forum.
And thank you for contributing…:))

Empathy
Honesty
A sense of humour.
Also what’s on the OP list.
As well as understanding and actually having a positive work/life balance.
Those are another great values that I would want to take them as important.
I guess life would be boring for someone who has no sense of humor.
Awesome.
Even to get through the many, perhaps negative things life does tend to throw at people from time to time, a sense of humour really helps with not heading on an emotional downward spiral.
Don’t be an

I don’t like competition.
Honesty, responsibility, loyalty, IQ
IQ. No one come up with that one yet and it is vitally important.
It’s like a woman with beauty and behavior but without brain, she isn’t that beautiful..:)
Thank you, FP…:)
Personal Responsibility.
This is an excellent value. One that is not stressed enough.
A little teeth gritting irk of mine is when people play the diminished responsibility card, so I agree wholeheartedly.
I saw a lady with a T-Shirt in order it had God, family, community. Without faith in the Gospel, and the mystery of knowing God gives me Power in my beliefs. without God nothing else matters with God everything matters.
That sounds to be the voice of a religious man.
Whatever religion we embrace I agree that with God everything matters.
All these 10 values can be summed up in the most vital: The One who is fully God and fully man. Nothing on earth is as precious to me as my Beloved. ๐

If you consider all the ‘values’ mentioned above – and there are many more, even pain has value, – and you must build a container which will contain everything of true value, it can only be called HAPPINESS.
Happiness is the one thing for which anybody will sacrifice everything, if it will guarantee lasting happiness. We all just want to be happy in the end.

Very true, happiness is the final destination of what everyone try to pursue in their life.
Look at all the effort Disqus has burdened you with..
You pay for their service …and they make you jump through hoops in order to welcome your followers..
That’s true, yet that still doesn’t make us to not bind ourselves to Disqus.
It’s the devil we know…lol
I have no desire to move to “Two-Face-Book” … ๐
I have account on Facebook and 99% people on friend list are people I know in real life but I have not visited there since months. We enjoy Disqus more …:))
Facebook friends can twist your words and use it against you socially or the workplace. I never give my thoughts and opinions there. I just share the soft parts of my life.
Here I can explore ideas and thoughts with civility and, most importantly, anonymity.
I am not on FB because I value a little more privacy.
I’ve been on Facebook I think since about 2007 and have not made any single post about what I thought. My posts on there were mostly about what I did with friends or uploading new pictures as they are mostly the people I know in rl.
I set the privacy setting a bit tight on Facebook, like I don’t accept friend request unless I know the person or at least I have talked to them. I have about 3-4 Disqus friends on Facebook, they are not active on Disqus anymore but they used to be Mods on MNC and we used to talk on email. They are 3 girls and 1 very young man. They are nice people. Like yourself….*Smile.
I’ve not had bad experience like some people used to have.

Values That Raise Us
โYou must love your neighbor as yourself.โ – Mark 12:31.
โDo not repay evil for evil upon anyone.โ – Romans 12:17.
โForgive one another freely if anyone has a cause for complaint against another.โ – Colossians 3:13.
โPhilanthropy is the root of all kinds of bad things.โ – 1 Timothy 6:10.
Those are very important values.
No wonder you become such a loving and kind person, George.

Frangepani are beautiful! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/18e4460c98ec47760b6399dc6676ec8cc639fce4524f73e27110d0642ab693cd.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2aecee95672123f93ccd16bfc0e6c7cb583f3b1482dc06c10821d7759f7824a8.jpg
And those are beautiful.
I subscribe to basic Christian values, which are to love God, ourselves, and others. This is the value set that made the West great, and one well worth conserving.
Good morning..:)
I believe that human with those values can shape the direction of their life better.
Maintaining a balanced relationship between us with God and us with others.

1) Respect for life: yours, others, animals, and the planet.
2) Integrity: tell the truth.
3) Work ethic: be purposeful.
4) Family: without a family, a man is nothing.
5) Education: learn all your life.
6) Kindness: be nice and have fun in life.
7) Money Management: manage your responsibilities.
8) God: have some religion, but okay if you don’t.
9) Sports: a great teacher, recreational, and health endeavor.
I’m not perfect in all the above. But I value them and try.
Those all look great. Sounds perfect as human with those values.
Maybe one to add that is more personal: spirituality
A sense of humor has to count for something…

I love the story of how Nimoy was inspired by an Orthodox Rabbinic ritual to come up with the Vulcan salute.
https://youtu.be/jmkDOzjfSSY
Which is a traditional Jewish blessing..:))
Not only this, but Leonard Nimoy was a man far ahead of his time. He was an early proponent of body positivity for women. He was exceptionally intelligent.
He caught hell for his book of photographs of women wearing Orthodox religious gear. It is always a positive sign to be attacked by religious fanatics.
Awesome!

Honesty is the most important human value.
I agree that honesty and truthfulness is one the most important human values.
I hold honesty and truthfulness as one of my life principles.
I’ll come back later.

Thank you I enjoyed it. Hope you go through with more great groups. ๐
Hi,
Thanks for your kind supports….:)
I am very happy to know that.
Yes, I hope so too.
Thank you for such a nice invite!
My pleasure.
And thank you for being such a supportive friend.
It’s a shame the way Disqus has relegated my comments to pending ever since they eliminated my entire up-vote history when the old channels closed..
They are so effed-up now that any NEW Up-Votes given to me remain unregistered..
I’m not a shallow person ….It just pizzes me off to see my REP left in the dirt whenever I try to add a comment to a new channel..
You are a trusted user here.
I am sorry for being the victim of bots.
Many other friends got the same attacks.
And we have been downvoted too.
“1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-7
This is a reference of practical Faith, which I try to be compatible with.
Np.
Thanks,
How are you, today?
Alright.
I visited your thread again just now.
Cool.
****
Why did my comment saying โcoolโ get edited?
the ‘cool’ stay.
the ‘dead’ got edited as it’s still open and alive.
Oh XD
Yes. VERY alive. ๐ I donโt expect my threads to last long, just because Iโm not as well known around Disqus, so people donโt really care that much.
They care with the topic you made then they’d care with who created the discussion.
It’s a very interesting topic that PL is not only a famous world band but they are one of the greatest.
You?
